Senior Electronics Development Engineer (m/f/d)

In this senior role you will drive the development and validation of analog, digital, power and high-voltage electronics and related PCBs for intelligent products. You’ll bridge customer needs and system requirements with robust circuit concepts, and provide system-level oversight to ensure safe, reliable integration. You’ll perform hands-on design, simulation and validation, while coordinating prototype fabrication and production introduction. • Develop analog, digital and power-electronic circuits and power/control PCBs for intelligent products
• Derive electronics requirements from customer, product and system needs and translate into robust concepts
• Create and maintain Schematics and PCB designs (Altium), select components and document designs
• Develop power stages, sensing, protection, diagnostics, interfaces and MCU peripherals
• Review PCB layouts with emphasis on high-current paths, thermal, EMC/EMI, creepage/clearance and robustness
• Design electronics for low- and high-voltage applications including switching and protection
• Perform circuit/thermal simulations (LTspice) and conduct initial measurements, verification and root-cause analysis
• Coordinate prototype fabrication, component qualification, validation, DFx, test concepts and production introduction
• Small embedded programming tasks in C for device-control, diagnostics, hardware bring-up and interfaces
• Maintain system-level overview of complex electronic systems and ensure traceability across requirements and verification
• Contribute to system reviews, risk assessments, integration planning and validation strategy
• Ensure consistency of electrical interfaces, operating concepts and diagnostics across the scope

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or comparable field
• 7+ years of experience in electronics development, schematic/PCB design and system integration for industrial or transportation products
• Hands-on experience developing and validating multidisciplinary electronic products
• Experience owning technically demanding work packages across multiple disciplines
• Proficient with schematic/PCB design tools (preferably Altium) and simulation tools (LTspice)
• Knowledge of PCB quality standards, creepage/clearance, EMC, thermal simulations and current-density analysis
• Experience with high-voltage electronics (≥60 V DC) and insulation coordination; HV applications up to 1000 V DC is a plus
• Basic knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and HW-FMEDA/DFMEA is advantageous
• Hands-on lab, validation, debugging and design-for-manufacturing experience
• Experience with requirements, specifications, validation planning and documentation
• Basic embedded C programming; skills in CAN, LIN, SPI are advantageous
• Very good English; German advantageous; willingness to travel occasionally
