Senior Electronics Engineer (m/f/d)

Overview

In this role you design and develop analogue and digital electronics for next-generation medical diagnostic devices. You will build prototypes, troubleshoot at component and assembly levels, and ensure EMC pre-compliance and safety through Design FMEAs. You collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate system requirements into robust electronics that meet strict medical standards. This position offers impact by enabling safe, reliable devices that advance patient care and scale to volume production.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Conceptualize and design analogue and digital electronics for diagnostic devices
  • Build prototypes and demonstrators; troubleshoot at device and component levels
  • Perform EMC pre-compliance testing and support safety analyses (Design FMEAs)
  • Define electronics specifications and interface documentation; contribute to global system requirements
  • Design for standards compliance (IEC 60601-1, 60601-1-2) and support CE certification
  • Create technical documentation; facilitate transition to volume production (DFM/DFT)
  • Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Medical Engineering, Mechatronics, Communications Engineering, or comparable qualification
  • 5–10 years of independent hardware development experience in regulated medical technology
  • Proficiency with design tools (Altium Designer, KiCAD, EAGLE, OrCAD) and circuit simulation (SPICE)
  • Strong analogue and digital circuit design knowledge; low-power design for battery-operated devices
  • Experience with measurement equipment and electrical safety testing
  • Familiarity with IEC 60601-1/60601-1-2, ISO 14971, and CE approval processes
  • Manufacturing awareness: EMC design, DFM/DFT, obsolescence management
  • Business-fluent German and English
