Overview

As Senior Engineer Thermo-mechanical Simulation, you will advance thermomechanical models and assess deformation and stress in microelectronic products. You’ll drive design optimization and material concepts, providing simulation-driven insights to minimize failure risks. You will validate models against experimental data and enhance methodologies with state-of-the-art virtual and experimental approaches. In a global R&D setting, you contribute to the development of innovative semiconductor products, shaping reliability and performance. This role offers meaningful impact in a leading, sustainability-focused tech environment.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Develop thermomechanical models and run simulations to evaluate deformation and stress in microelectronic products
  • Conduct sensitivity and optimization studies to identify effective thermomechanical designs and material concepts
  • Provide simulation-based insights to internal stakeholders to minimize thermomechanical failure risks and ensure product reliability
  • Lead validation and calibration of simulation models through comparison with experimental data
  • Advance simulation methodologies by integrating advanced virtual and experimental approaches
  • Collaborate within a global R&D environment to support the development of innovative semiconductor products
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline; PhD advantageous
  • 3–5 years of professional CAE simulation experience with a focus on structural mechanics, ideally using Ansys
  • Strong programming and data processing skills (Python, MATLAB, or equivalent) for automation, sensitivity studies, and optimization
  • Solid understanding of nonlinear material behavior (plasticity, viscoelasticity, fracture mechanics)
  • Experience with homogenization techniques for composite materials with anisotropic properties; thermomechanical modeling of semiconductor devices is a plus
