Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

Senior Forward Deployed Engineer at Salesforce leads end-to-end deployment of agentic AI solutions for strategic customers. You will own architecture decisions, guide production handoff, and mentor engineers within a cross-functional team. You’ll work with a Deployment Strategist to translate complex business challenges into deployable AI solutions and stay at the forefront of AI tooling and models. This role offers impact across enterprise deployments and product evolution in Agentforce.

• Own end-to-end build and deployment of agentic AI solutions for strategic customers, from architecture to production handoff
• Design and ship agentic systems on the Agentforce platform (agent logic, tool calls, multi-agent orchestration, guardrails)
• Manage data lifecycle and integration across Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer platforms
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and shared work; provide depth on critical deployments
• Surface field insights to Product and Engineering to influence the roadmap
• Develop proofs-of-concept and MVPs; codify reusable patterns and playbooks
• Collaborate with Deployment Strategist to translate business challenges into implementable AI solutions

• 6+ years in software engineering or technical delivery with end-to-end ownership of scalable production systems in enterprise AI, cloud, or SaaS environments
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Expert in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex; conversant in others
• Experience integrating LLMs into production and using frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex; applied prompt engineering and responsible AI in real contexts
• Deep experience in data modeling, processing, and analytics; proficient with Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, or Databricks
• Strong Salesforce platform expertise: Agentforce, Apex, LWC, Flows, and Salesforce APIs
• Entrepreneurial, get-things-done mindset with judgment on fast vs right delivery
• Mentored technical talent and created reusable assets; strong communication with engineers, architects, and executives
• Willingness to travel ~25% to work embedded with customer engineers
• German and English fluency
