Senior Fullstack Engineer - Custom Solutions

In this role you build custom solutions that extend Staffbase’s platform for enterprise customers. You own end-to-end delivery from design to release, collaborating with stakeholders to turn business needs into technical solutions. You’ll work across the stack—UI in React/TypeScript, backend services, and integrations—while mentoring a growing team. You’ll help establish engineering standards and practices in a newly formed unit, contributing to scalable, customer-focused innovation.

• Own end-to-end development of custom solutions from design to release
• Collaborate with customers, consultants, and internal teams to define and validate use cases
• Build across the stack: React/TypeScript UI, backend services, and integrations with Staffbase and external APIs
• Mentor mid-level engineers and establish engineering standards and practices
• Maintain a high-quality, well-tested codebase in a cross-functional, Agile setup
• Participate in code reviews and promote continuous learning and improvement
• Work iteratively with CI/CD and automation as appropriate

• 5+ years as a fullstack developer
• Strong frontend with React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript
• Solid backend experience (Kotlin, Java, or Node.js)
• Experience with REST APIs and SDKs; integrating with external systems
• Mentoring or guiding less-experienced developers
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and validate them
• Focus on quality, testing, and continuous learning
• Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
• Self-starter; comfortable working independently and in a team
