Senior IT Project Manager - Core Banking Platform

In this Senior IT Project Manager role, you will drive end-to-end, regulatory-driven transformation programs for financial services. You’ll coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, manage risks and budgets, and ensure governance and quality across complex deliveries. • Independently manage IT projects from initiation to closure
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to capture requirements and meet goals
• Identify and mitigate risks across the project lifecycle
• Ensure adherence to budgets and optimize resource allocation
• Coordinate and lead interdisciplinary project teams
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and continuously improve processes
• Prepare and present status reports to management

• 5-7 years of IT project management experience, ideally international environment
• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or comparable qualification
• Extensive experience in IT project/program management within financial services
• Strong background in regulatory-driven initiatives (compliance, reporting, transformations)
• Proven track record in managing large, complex, multi-stakeholder delivery environments
• Excellent understanding of banking platforms (e.g., Avaloq or similar core banking systems)
• Strong knowledge of project governance, risk management, and delivery methodologies (Agile / Hybrid / Waterfall)
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and C-level management
• Strong communication, negotiation, and escalation management skills
• Full professional fluency in German
