(Senior) Kotlin / Java Software Engineer - Clearing & Settlement (m/f/x)

In this role you will build and evolve core clearing and settlement services within Scalable Capital’s new banking platform. You’ll work in autonomous, cross-functional teams to deliver value through reliable, compliant financial workflows. You’ll develop cloud-native services on AWS with containerised and serverless architectures, while raising engineering standards and ensuring quality, security, and maintainability. • Build and evolve business-critical clearing and settlement services with Kotlin/Java and Spring Boot
• Work in autonomous, cross-functional teams using agile practices and Domain-Driven Design
• Develop and operate cloud-native applications on AWS (ECS, Lambda)
• Shape delivery with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability and monitoring
• Write clean, secure, well-tested, maintainable code

• University degree in a relevant field or comparable qualification
• Strong backend experience with Kotlin or Java and Spring Boot
• Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design
• Experience designing and operating distributed, event-driven systems and APIs
• Familiarity with AWS cloud-native development (containerised and serverless)
• Confidence with automated testing, CI/CD, infrastructure as code and production observability
• Quality and security mindset with focus on reliability and maintainability
