Senior Labour Relations Manager - Germany and Austria

Overview

In this role you will lead Works Council and employee representation efforts for Germany and Austria, partnering with HR, Legal and leadership to balance business needs with employee voice. You will drive compliant engagements, negotiate works council agreements, and guide change programs with a focus on legal risk management. You’ll operate within the EMEA People organisation, coordinating cross-region stakeholders and providing counsel during restructurings. You will help shape policy and processes that support social dialogue across a high-growth tech environment.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with Works Council representatives, employee delegates, trade unions and other external bodies
  • Serve as the primary liaison between ServiceNow leadership and Works Council(s) with clear communication
  • Develop proactive engagement strategies that balance business needs with employee representation
  • Coordinate alignment across HR, Legal, Communications and leadership on labour relations matters
  • Ensure compliance with labour law and Works Council requirements across Germany and Austria
  • Negotiate Works Council and related employment initiatives aligned with enterprise objectives
  • Lead formal consultations and collective agreements in applicable jurisdictions
  • Provide labour relations counsel to HRBPs and business leaders during complex people decisions
  • Develop and maintain labour relations policies, processes and frameworks
  • Conduct regulatory landscape analysis to anticipate changes affecting operations
  • Guide training for managers on labour relations policies and consistent practices
  • Support implementation of new or updated people programs and practices
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • 7+ years of progressive labour relations, employee relations, or HR experience
  • Deep expertise in Works Council laws and practice in Germany and Austria
  • Experience leading large-scale organisational change and restructuring consultation
  • Strong understanding of collective bargaining, statutory consultation, and German (and Austrian) employment law
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Fluency in English and German; other European languages are an advantage
  • Track record advising senior leadership and HRBPs through complex labour relations challenges
