Senior Logistics Procurement Manager (f/m/d)

As Senior Logistics Procurement Manager, you will shape the sourcing of logistics services for rail, inland waterways, ocean freight, and tank storage. You will lead tender processes, select and develop providers, and negotiate contracts to optimize cost, quality, and service. You’ll manage a substantial procurement volume and build long‑term supplier partnerships while monitoring performance. Your work will drive sustainable sourcing and cross-functional optimization aligned with Evonik Oxeno’s roadmap toward a standalone, innovative C4 business.

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for rail, inland waterway, ocean freight, and tank storage logistics
• Conduct national and international tenders and select, manage, and develop logistics service providers
• Negotiate and manage logistics contracts with a focus on cost efficiency, quality, and service performance
• Take responsibility for a procurement volume exceeding 100 million
• Build and manage long-term supplier partnerships and monitor supplier costs, performance, and service levels
• Analyze logistics markets and develop sustainable sourcing strategies
• Advise management on strategic logistics topics and lead cross-functional optimization projects

• Successfully completed degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in the strategic procurement of logistics services, ideally involving the transportation of liquid and gaseous products
• Strong technical and commercial understanding, as well as experience collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Excellent analytical skills, strong numerical aptitude, and a data-driven working style
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP S/4HANA, preferably in the MM, SD, CO, and FI modules
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, combined with a strong network within the logistics industry
• Structured, solution-oriented, and customer-focused approach to work
• Fluent German and very good English language skills
