Senior Procurement Business Partner - Direct & OPEX - Associate Director

In this role you act as the key procurement partner to the Oranienburg Site Leadership Team, translating site needs into effective sourcing strategies and aligning local actions with global procurement. You drive end-to-end sourcing, supplier management, and value delivery while supporting governance, compliance, and digitalization initiatives. You will enable business continuity through risk management and strong supplier partnerships, contributing to Lean transformation and operational excellence.

• Partner with Site Leadership Team to translate business needs into procurement strategies
• Align site priorities with global procurement and implement regional initiatives
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities (tenders, negotiations, contract management)
• Execute local procurement and implement globally negotiated agreements at site level
• Drive cost savings and value creation to meet site financial targets
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and performance improvements
• Identify and mitigate supply and operational risks for business continuity
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, compliance standards and audit requirements
• Support process improvements, digitalization, and efficient ways of working

• 8+ years of procurement experience in manufacturing (direct and indirect)
• Proven sourcing, negotiation, and value delivery track record
• Strong understanding of category management, supplier management, and procurement processes
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leaders
• Experience in global, matrix organizations
• Analytical skills and commercial mindset
• English fluency
• Preferred: pharma, biotech, FMCG or consulting experience
• Knowledge of Capex sourcing and project-based procurement
• Familiarity with SAP, Ariba, or similar procurement tools
• Additional languages are a plus
