Senior Product Development Manager - Global Insurance Policy Wording

In this role you will shape and manage Allianz Partners’ global travel insurance product portfolio. You will drive harmonization and simplification across markets, ensuring master products align with business goals and regulatory standards. You’ll own global policy wording standards and collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and regional teams to maintain consistency and relevance. You’ll provide expert guidance on product structures and T&Cs to deliver customer-centric, commercially effective insurance solutions. This position offers the chance to influence global product strategy while working across regions and with cross-functional partners.

• Lead end-to-end development and maintenance of Master Products aligned with business objectives, customer needs, and regulatory requirements
• Define and maintain standard products across markets to ensure consistency and strategic alignment
• Drive product simplification and harmonization initiatives across regions under the Simplicity framework
• Monitor portfolio effectiveness and propose optimization and growth opportunities
• Support strategic product initiatives and broader travel product topics as needed
• Lead development and maintenance of Global Policy Wordings, including Terms & Conditions and IPIDs
• Coordinate localization of global policy wording for regional compliance and business relevance
• Maintain policy wording standards and promote continuous simplification while managing deviations
• Serve as expert for policy wording interpretation and provide guidance to markets and stakeholders
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Underwriting, and regional teams to ensure compliant, competitive, and customer-centric products
• Leverage language capabilities to support localization and cross-market communication

• 2+ years of experience in Product, Underwriting (UW), Operations, or similar function
• Deep understanding of insurance industry and regulatory environment
• Knowledge of Travel Product Portfolio
• Ability to create, interpret, and communicate Insurance T&Cs
• International mindset with ability to work across regions, cultures, and stakeholders
• University degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Law, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Experience working with AI, machine learning, data analytics, and cloud-based tools with data governance and security awareness
