Senior Project Manager (Data Science/Machine Learning)

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading a complex portfolio of projects within an enterprise retail environment. This role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on delivery management, ensuring successful project execution and long‑term business value. You will operate at the intersection of technology, data (ML/DS), and business, managing full project lifecycles while driving strong client relationships and delivery excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage end‑to‑end project delivery, including scope, timeline, budget, and quality
• Build and maintain strong, long‑term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
• Align stakeholder expectations and ensure transparent and effective communication
• Drive strategic planning and coordination across a project portfolio
• Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate risks, including scope‑related challenges
• Perform financial analysis, forecasting, and ensure project profitability
• Identify and support new business opportunities with the client
• Optimize delivery processes and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to support strategic decisions
• Manage fixed‑price projects within agreed constraints (scope, budget, timeline)

REQUIREMENTS

• 7+ years of experience in software development project management
• Experience with ML / Data Science projects or understanding of their delivery specifics
• Strong experience working in Agile environments and modern delivery frameworks
• Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, risks, costs, and stakeholder expectations
• Experience managing complex or multi‑stream projects
• Hands‑on experience with fixed‑price project delivery models
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Strong ownership mindset and accountability for outcomes
• Upper‑Intermediate+ level of English
• Solid understanding of project/program management methodologies and IT industry trends
• Certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum, SAFe, etc.) are a plus
