Shift Coordinator (m/f/d)

In this role you lead the shift in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting, stewarding quality, safety, and efficiency. You’ll shape a collaborative, compliant culture and oversee workforce planning, material flow, and handovers while driving continuous improvement. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and Lean/Six Sigma practices, contributing to West’s mission of delivering life-saving medicines. This is an onsite, leadership-focused role with opportunities to mentor others and drive change.

• Disciplinary and operational leadership of the shift and staff development
• Workforce planning and machine allocation
• Maintain open communication culture
• Monitor and enforce quality, GMP, regulatory compliance, documentation, and KPIs
• Manufacturing or processing of materials
• Supply machines with raw materials
• Ensure proper shift handover
• Participate in projects (e.g., introduction of new technologies)
• Train and support (new) employees according to TWI principles

• Minimum 5 years of production experience, preferably in pharma
• Initial leadership experience
• Vocational training completed
• Willingness to become a Certified TWI trainer or already certified
• Good knowledge of SAP and MS Office
• Lean and Six Sigma training (Yellow Belt) or willingness to complete
• Strong safety, quality, and responsibility awareness
