System Engineer Bogie (m/w/d)

In this role, you will lead system integration of bogie systems at vehicle level, ensuring compliance with standards and customer specs. You’ll collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to allocate transversal requirements and define performance, interfaces, and functionalities. You act as the main technical interface to Bogie Engineering and steer verification, validation, and testing at train level. This is a hands-on position in a global leader driving greener mobility, offering growth across functions and countries.

• Define bogie system requirements based on applicable documents and standards
• Specify performance, interfaces, operational modes, and functionalities of the bogie system
• Serve as primary technical interface with Bogie Engineering team
• Coordinate with subsystems and drive technical relationships across teams
• Participate in customer meetings to provide expert support
• Define the train verification strategy for bogie systems
• Write train-level test specifications and oversee integration and tuning at train level
• Support commissioning, validation, and reliability growth activities
• Conduct failure analyses in collaboration with specialists

• Engineer degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Railway Engineering, or related field
• Experience in bogie system engineering or bogie design
• Experience writing specifications and test plans and participating in design reviews
• Ability to support project management tasks (timelines, coordination)
• Experience working with diverse teams and managing supplier relationships
• Good English communication; German knowledge is a plus
• Ability to facilitate alignment among stakeholders within ALSTOM
