Overview

In this role you join Helsing’s engineering leadership to shape an AI-enabled electronic warfare capability for modern fighters. You will align customer requirements with technical deliverables, manage certification readiness, and oversee lifecycle activities from concept to first flight. You collaborate with AI software specialists to ensure EW software meets operational needs and delivers impact in a high-stakes domain. The work blends advanced avionics, safety-critical software, and regulatory collaboration in a fast-evolving defence tech environment.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Derive and validate high-level software requirements with the customer to align EW capabilities with operations
  • Maintain end-to-end traceability from system requirements to software artefacts and baselines for certification
  • Lead risk-mitigation discussions with software engineers to protect schedules and quality
  • Plan and monitor technical deliverables with project management to enable a successful first flight
  • Coordinate preparation of technical documents to meet certification standards and obtain customer approval
  • Oversee software product qualification and certification activities with customers and aviation authorities
  • Collaborate with QA to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and address findings promptly
  • Provide clear, actionable project status updates to Chief Engineering and Programme Management
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Experience in system engineering for electronic warfare systems from concept to first flight
  • Proven delivery of software-intensive avionics or EW systems in active service
  • Extensive embedded software experience for avionics per DO-178C and ARP4754B lifecycle
  • Established relationships with civil or military aviation authorities and participation in formal meetings or SOI
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to internal teams and external stakeholders
