Team Leader Quantum Software Applications (80-100%)

In this role you will lead the Quantum Software Applications team to advance user-facing LabOne Q features and improve workflows for quantum computers. You will shape API design and abstractions, ensuring a coherent user experience across levels, while coordinating with industrial and academic partners. The position blends leadership, architecture, and delivery of end-to-end features, with strong collaboration across R&D and product management. Based in Munich with regular Zurich travel, you’ll drive meaningful impact in a fast-moving quantum ecosystem.

• Lead a quantum software team focusing on user-facing functionality and collaboration with industrial and academic partners
• Drive all aspects of people development in close collaboration with HR
• Enhance LabOne Q to elevate the user experience for customers operating QPUs
• Own the design of LabOne Q's user-facing APIs and abstractions, ensuring a consistent design language across abstraction levels
• Own delivery of features for LabOne Q including concept, implementation, testing, and documentation
• Collaborate with peers in R&D and product management on architecture, interfaces, and feature definition

• PhD, MSc or equivalent experience in Quantum Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Electrical Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in team leadership
• Experience with quantum computing frameworks or automation/workflows in a technical application
• Production-grade Python coding and API design experience
• Based in Munich, with willingness to travel to Zurich once a month
