Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, Fiber Deployment, Global Connectivity Infrastructure Development

In this role you will lead end-to-end fiber deployment programs to scale AWS network infrastructure. You will coordinate across cross-functional teams, vendors, and external partners to deliver on-time, high-quality builds while meeting safety and regulatory standards. You will align scope, schedule, budget, and risks with engineering requirements and regional markets, driving continuous improvement. • Own project scope, timeline and budget for construction-related activities and capital projects.
• Manage vendors and ensure construction standards are met; conduct quality audits and remediation before release.
• Understand and engage with EMEA fiber market segments and customer needs.
• Interface with data centre providers to drive equipment and circuit installations.
• Ensure projects meet engineering requirements and create detailed network planning packs for scalable infrastructure.
• Understand fiber deployment types and diversity requirements; apply deep fiber construction knowledge.
• Lead program management, risk mitigation, and status reporting to management and customers.
• Ensure health and safety compliance within markets; assist with RFPs and CAPEX requests.
• Know mechanisms to deploy, operate and maintain a complex fiber optic network; coordinate across time zones.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.

• Experience in program or project management
• 5+ years of technical infrastructure program management experience
• Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to network infrastructure (optical fiber, network hardware, data centers)
• Understanding of the optical fiber industry and markets; fiber characterization and ability to review fiber test results
• Strong technical understanding of transport technologies (Fiber Materials, DWDM)
