Ulm Site Head (m/f/d) of Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHS&S)

Overview

In this role you will lead Teva’s EHS function to ensure safe, compliant, and sustainable operations. You’ll drive an integrated EHS management system and foster a strong safety culture across the site. You will partner with production, engineering, quality and HR to translate regulatory requirements into practical actions. This is a strategic, cross-functional leadership role with real impact on patient safety, environmental stewardship, and organizational performance. You’ll shape safety, health and sustainability initiatives in a global, matrix environment.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Lead the EHS department and optimize structures and processes
  • Maintain and continuously improve the EHS management system
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and national/international regulations
  • Develop and promote a strong safety culture
  • Manage site risk, incident investigations, CAPA and training programs
  • Oversee environmental protections including permitting, emissions monitoring, and waste management
  • Ensure fire protection compliance and liaise with authorities
  • Plan and conduct internal and support external audits and reporting
  • Communicate with authorities, insurers, and external partners; collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Drive environmental, health, safety and sustainability programs aligned with corporate strategy
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Degree in chemistry, applied sciences, safety engineer or a comparable field
  • Certification as Occupational Safety Specialist (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit)
  • Certification as fire protection expert (Brandschutzbeauftragter) would be an advantage
  • Experience: 10 years in EHS, 5 years in a leadership role
  • Knowledge of national chemical control legislation (ChemG, GefStoffV) and German work safety regulations
  • Experience with management systems (EMAS, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and audits
  • Experience with regulatory authorities and incident investigations
  • Drive and maintain a strong safety culture
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management in German and English
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Emas, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 familiarity
  • Regulatory compliance expertise and audits
  • Incident investigation and CAPA processes
