Water Infrastructure Manager, AWS EMEA Energy & Water Team

In this role you will lead end-to-end delivery of off-site water infrastructure for AWS data centers, driving design, permitting, contracts, and construction. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, regulators, and external consultants to secure funding and deliver scalable water solutions. The position focuses on capital-intensive, multi-region projects that ensure reliable water supply and discharge for critical AWS infrastructure. • Own end-to-end delivery of off-site water infrastructure solutions from scoping to physical delivery
• Manage 3rd party design consultants; develop requirements, budgets, business cases, permitting and schedules
• Prepare project contracts, milestone payments and manage procurement and legal reviews
• Demonstrate strong project management and technical leadership across design, procurement and delivery
• Multitask, re-prioritize and lead deliveries to meet changing business needs
• Create and maintain overall delivery program and project budgets; submit Capital Allocation Requests
• Prepare investment/business case papers to secure internal funding for water reinforcement projects
• Liaise with regulators, external stakeholders and internal teams throughout project lifecycle
• Regularly report progress to senior leadership on key project metrics
• Ensure construction standards and regulatory compliance; develop scalable, future-proof planning packs

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Civil Engineering
• Strong English-language communication skills (written and verbal)
• Fluency in German (spoken, written, reading)
• Significant demonstrable experience delivering water design infrastructure and capital-intensive projects
• Experience managing end-to-end project scope, business case, contracts and capital requests
• Analytical and commercial skills for reviewing tariffs, water projects and contracts
