Account Manager Life Science Research (f/m/d) Germany East

In this role you drive growth for Leica’s microscopy business across the Dresden, Leipzig, Jena and Magdeburg region. You will own and expand customer relationships, work with cross‑functional teams, and shape regional growth strategies. You’ll engage with customers on-site, manage opportunities, and forecast effectively to support business planning. This is a remote, customer‑facing role that blends scientific insight with strategic sales to impact research outcomes and the company’s growth trajectory.

• Own, manage and grow the microscopy business in the defined geographic area
• Maintain existing accounts and develop new customer opportunities to meet growth targets
• Develop and execute geographic key account planning, account mapping and networking
• Coordinate and leverage internal Lean/Workflow, Product Sales, Marketing, and Channel Partners to engage customers
• Proactively manage opportunities and sales funnel, with regular forecasting for business planning
• Be customer-facing and on-site with customers ~3 days/week
• Provide weekly reporting on sales funnel and key metrics
• Collaborate to shape growth direction and ensure excellent customer service and support
• Learn and apply Danaher Business System to address challenges and identify opportunities

• Degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Pharmacy, or related field preferred)
• Strong and proven sales experience in a relevant industry with exposure to microscopy, spatial biology and/or proteomics preferred
• Hands-on, operational sales capabilities with a strategic and structured mindset
• Strong communication skills and sound business acumen
• Willingness and ability to travel ~40% with overnight stays and a valid driver’s license
