AI Research Engineer - AI Safety

You will define evaluation domains, assess reliability, and extend state-of-the-art in uncertainty quantification and calibration. • Define operational domains and evaluate reliability of in-house AI capabilities
• Develop and extend uncertainty quantification and calibration techniques
• Interface with AI systems, assess robustness in real-world and adversarial scenarios
• Collaborate across teams on impactful projects and contribute to safety mechanisms
• Support data collection and experimentation strategies to extract causal insights
• Contribute to responsible decision-making and governance around AI deployments

• Master of Science in a STEM field
• Excellent communication skills for internal and external reporting
• Strong mathematical and statistical background
• Solid software engineering skills in Python and/or Rust/Java/modern C++
• Experience deploying AI software to production including testing, QA, and monitoring
• Track record of re-implementing/extending state-of-the-art deep learning approaches
• Ability to work across diverse teams and adapt to challenging domains
