Test Solution Engineer – Research & Venture (m/f/d)

In this role you will develop and prototype innovative semiconductor test solutions for emerging technologies, validating concepts on the Advantest V93000 platform. You will collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to tackle future test challenges and accelerate solution development. You will contribute to IP, technology demonstrators, and future product concepts while keeping an eye on industry trends. This position offers the chance to shape next-generation test solutions in a cross-functional, innovation-driven environment.

• Develop and prototype innovative semiconductor test solutions and methodologies
• Validate and implement new test concepts on the Advantest V93000 platform from feasibility to PoC
• Collaborate with customers, technology partners, and internal organizations to address future test challenges
• Work across Advantest business units to accelerate innovation and solution development
• Contribute to IP generation, technology demonstrators, and future product concepts
• Analyze industry trends to help define the next generation of semiconductor test solutions

• Master's Degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microsystems Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical discipline
• Hands-on experience with Advantest V93000 platform and Smartest 8 with focus on high-speed, RF, or electro-optical applications
• PCB design experience for DUT boards and probe cards for high-speed applications
• Strong knowledge of high-speed digital interfaces (PCIe, UCIe, Ethernet, USB, CXL) and measurement techniques
• Solid understanding of semiconductor devices, advanced packaging, test methodologies, and electronic measurement principles
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills; English fluent, German preferred
• Willingness to travel up to 20%
