Senior Test Engineer, Amazon Robotics

Stellenbeschreibung:

Overview

In this role you will plan, design, execute, and document tests for electrical-drive systems, from component characterization to system-level validation. You will build and operate test benches, select instrumentation, process data, and convert measurements into actionable design insights. You’ll collaborate with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and systems engineers within the Actuation Group to align testing with product requirements and milestones. You will have a hands-on, data-driven approach to drive design decisions for actuation hardware, contributing to scalable testing and robust validation.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Design, commission, and operate test benches for electrical-drive systems (motors, inverters, gear units) including fixture design and safety concepts
  • Select, integrate, and calibrate torque cells and encoders with an understanding of errors (cross-talk, temperature drift, mounting misalignment, interpolation)
  • Process and analyze data using MATLAB, applying filtering, FFT, statistics, and uncertainty propagation to derive performance metrics
  • Prepare clear test reports comparing results to specifications, highlighting anomalies and deriving actionable learnings for design feedback
  • Collaborate with Actuation Group to align test strategies with product requirements and milestones
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent engineering science
  • Experience with test plan development, building test bench infrastructure, and validating designs
  • Experience reviewing test plans, cases, and results with strong QA background
  • Practical knowledge of torque cells and rotary encoders, their principles, error influences, and calibration requirements
  • Proficiency in MATLAB for measurement data processing and basic signal processing/statistics
  • collaboration
  • attention to detail
  • clear communication of results
  • test bench design and instrumentation
  • torque cells and encoder calibration
  • MATLAB data processing and signal processing basics
