Commercial Lead - Data Centre - Frankfurt

In this role, you will lead the commercial management of a flagship data centre development for an international main contractor. You’ll drive profitability, manage procurement and contracts, and ensure compliance while coordinating with project leadership and design teams. The position offers a structured rotation, strong leadership exposure, and a route to long-term international opportunities. You will contribute to strategic decisions through regular reporting and risk mitigation, shaping a high-value, mission-critical project.

• Leading the on-site commercial team and managing all cost and contract functions
• Developing, monitoring, and controlling project budgets, cashflow, and forecasts
• Overseeing procurement, tendering, and subcontractor negotiations
• Managing contracts, variations, claims, and risk mitigation strategies
• Liaising with project leadership, clients, and design teams to ensure alignment
• Ensuring compliance with local regulations, contractual obligations, and company procedures
• Providing regular commercial reports to senior management and contributing to strategic decision-making

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related commercial discipline
• 8–10+ years of experience with a main contractor
• Proven track record in leading commercial functions on large-scale projects (ideally data centres)
• Strong contractual and financial management skills
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
• Ability to work on rotation in Frankfurt (e.g., 10/4)
• EU passport or ability to work in EU without restrictions (advantageous)
