Commercial Lead (m/f/d) - Data Centres

As Commercial Lead you will oversee cost management for a major data centre project in Frankfurt, coordinating with clients and stakeholders on the full lifecycle. You will drive cost estimates, procurement, tendering, and value engineering to support on-site delivery. The role sits in our data centre unit, contributing to high-profile projects and leveraging best practices in cost control. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, accurate cost reporting and informed decision making.

• Primary cost management liaison with client and project stakeholders
• Pre- and post-contract duties including cost estimates, procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, final accounts
• Feasibility studies and procurement reports; cost planning and final cost presentation
• Tendering and procurement activity management, including pre-qualification, tender list, preliminaries, analyses, and documentation
• Timely, accurate cost checks and valuations; monthly post-contract cost reports to client
• Interface with client and consultants at all project stages; support change control processes
• Cost risk analysis and input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final accounts
• Maintain learning on cost estimating and contribute to best practices in estimating

• Proven track record in cost management/quantity surveying across full project lifecycle
• Experience leading cost management commissions for large, complex construction projects
• Technical knowledge of data centre or related facilities assets
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and procurement
• Experience with multiple estimating tools and applications; proficient with spreadsheets and databases
• Collaborative mindset with ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Good organizational skills and multi-tasking ability
• English fluent; German language skills preferred
• Availability for full-time on-site work
