Consultant - Operations Excellence Program

In this role you join McKinsey’s two-year Operations Excellence Program, helping clients optimize operations and build long-term capabilities. You work closely with cross-functional teams to diagnose issues, form hypotheses, design analyses, and translate findings into actionable recommendations. The program emphasizes hands-on coaching, structured capability-building, and accelerated leadership development within a global, diverse firm. • Identify issues and form hypotheses to solve client problems
• Design and conduct analyses, synthesize conclusions into recommendations
• Participate in on-the-job coaching and structured capability-building activities
• Engage on multiple client engagements across industries to develop operational expertise
• Develop knowledge through formal training in manufacturing, product development, purchasing, service operations, supply chain, or capital excellence
• Contribute to delivering client impact with ethical and practical solutions

• Master’s degree
• Initial experience in an operational topic (e.g., lean manufacturing, lean services, Six Sigma, Industry 4.0, process optimization, product development, or purchasing)
• Proven leadership in work or extracurricular settings
• Willingness to relocate/move within Europe during work weeks
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and local office language
