Copernicus Data Processing IV&V Engineer - (CO2M) (m/f/d) Ref. No. 26-84459

In this role you will support the Copernicus CO2M Ground Segment by planning and executing IV&V activities for satellite data-processing systems. You contribute to end-to-end verification of processing chains and ensure traceability between requirements, tests and results. You’ll work across requirements, software, processing chains and Ground Segment interfaces to deliver validated mission products. The position offers exposure to CCSDS CFDP, automated testing, CI/CD and cross-functional collaboration within a European EO programme.

• Plan and execute IV&V activities for satellite data-processing systems and processors
• Verify end-to-end processing chains from data acquisition to L0/L1/L2 product generation
• Define and review test specifications, procedures, data and reports
• Maintain traceability between requirements, tests, results and verification evidence
• Prepare and conduct integration and verification test campaigns
• Participate in formal verification activities (TRRs, TRBs, VCBs)
• Prepare/maintain Verification Control Documents (VCDs) and consolidate verification status
• Support deployment, configuration and verification of new software releases and hardware as needed
• Work with automated test environments and contribute to test automation
• Investigate anomalies and support their resolution
• Prepare/manage test data and develop monitoring/testing/analysis tools
• Contribute to IV&V activities with EUMETSAT teams and external partners

• Excellent written and spoken English
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering or related technical discipline
• At least 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering and IV&V at System or Ground Segment level (space/Earth Observation)
• Experience in verification and validation of data-processing systems and end-to-end processing chains
• Experience preparing test specifications, procedures, data and reports
• Experience with requirements engineering and requirements-management tools (e.g., DOORS)
• Knowledge of space and Ground Segment engineering processes and software lifecycles (ECSS)
• Experience with formal testing and verification processes
