Customer Engineer, Google Cloud Platform, Telco, Energy (German)

As a Platform Customer Engineer, you will be the technical partner to sales, shaping multi-pillar cloud solutions and guiding delivery plans from proof-of-concept to implementation. You’ll drive technical wins, lead cross-functional engagement, and support pricing and transition activities post-sale. You’ll demonstrate GCP value through demos, pilots, and workshops, helping customers transform with security, reliability, and scalability at scale.

• Develop and own the technical account plan and strategy for customer engagements
• Architect cross-pillar cloud solutions and drive technical wins
• Define initial delivery plans and lead technical engagement through solution phases
• Facilitate post-sales transitions including pricing support and handoffs to delivery teams
• Monitor delivery progress and support cross-functional teams during ramp, delivery, and implementation
• Conduct demos, pilots, and workshops to showcase Google Cloud value across portfolios
• Collaborate with technical Sales teams and present to technical and business leaders

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role
• Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms
• Experience engaging with or presenting to technical stakeholders or executive leaders
• Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or customer workshops
• Fluent German communication to support clients in the region
