Customer Engineer, Platform, Production Google Cloud, DACH (German)

As a Customer Engineer, you partner with technical Sales to differentiate Google Cloud to customers and act as their primary technical advisor. You design and deliver technical demos, pilots, and workshops to prove value, and architect cross-pillar cloud solutions that address business issues. You lead the delivery planning, support pricing, and shepherd transitions to implementation teams, ensuring progress aligns with customer delivery plans. You work with cross-functional teams across ramp, delivery, migration, and implementation phases, shaping outcomes that accelerate digital transformation.

• Develop and own technical account plans and strategy for targeted sales motions
• Combine sales, programming, and solutions architecture to demonstrate value of Google Cloud across the portfolio through complex demos, pilots, and workshops
• Architect cross-pillar solutions, drive technical wins, and define initial delivery plans for customers
• Lead technical engagement in the solution phase and facilitate post-sales transition by supporting pricing and delivery handoff
• Monitor delivery progress and provide cross-functional support during ramp, delivery, migration, or implementation phases
• Engage with technical stakeholders and executive leaders to articulate solutions and business impact
• Troubleshoot technical questions, run proofs of concepts, and present practical, delivery-focused solutions
• Drive sales cycles by defining delivery/consumption plans and transitioning them to execution teams

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role
• Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms
• Experience engaging with or presenting to technical stakeholders or executive leaders
• Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or customer workshops
• Fluency in German to support clients in the region
