Director of Product & Engineering - Operations (m/f/d)

As Director of Engineering for Guest Experience, you will lead a critical Front of House engineering domain at a fast-growing hospitality software company. You’ll shape the architecture and delivery rhythm to enable scalable, personalised guest journeys and staff automation. Your leadership will align product strategy with engineering execution across multiple teams and domains. You’ll drive high standards, cross-team collaboration, and measurable business impact. • Lead and grow engineering teams through managers and senior individual contributors to foster accountability and high performance
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and other engineering leaders to translate strategy into execution across a cross-product area
• Set direction for speed, quality, and long-term scalability of engineering efforts
• Raise the bar on engineering excellence, operational health, and delivery rigor in Front of House
• Deliver capabilities aligned with strategy (guest recognition, personalised experiences, automation, role-aware workflows, connected guest journeys)
• Drive cross-tribe and cross-division collaboration to maximize ecosystem value across Front of House, Back of House, Platform, and Fintech
• Coach leaders to simplify decisions, avoid unnecessary complexity, and enable fast, scalable teams

• Significant experience leading engineering organizations in modern B2B SaaS, platform, or product companies
• Proven ability to lead through scale, ambiguity, and change
• Strong technical judgment to guide architecture, quality, and execution without coding everything
• Experience coaching engineering managers and senior engineers to build healthy organizations
• Ability to partner deeply with Product and Design and connect business context, user value, and engineering delivery
• Bias for clarity, pragmatism, and high standards
• Comfort making hard trade-offs to simplify, invest, and focus on top outcomes
