Overview

In this role, you design and validate electrical systems for robotic platforms, spanning analog, digital, and power domains. You will work on motor control electronics, sensor interfaces, power distribution, and safety-critical circuits, collaborating across hardware, firmware, and mechanical teams. You’ll build models, run simulations, and lead integration to deliver reliable, scalable robotics solutions. Verantwortungsbereiche

Design and analyze electrical circuits and systems for robotic platforms (motor control, sensors, power, communications, safety-critical)
Create detailed schematics with tools like OrCAD or Altium
Lead smaller and coordinate larger PCB/layout efforts with internal and external teams
Build circuit models and simulations (SPICE, MATLAB) to guide design before prototyping
Develop electrical architecture diagrams and interface specs to assess performance and power distribution
Design filtering, signal processing, and protection circuits addressing noise, EMI/EMC, thermal, and tolerances
Lead cross-functional integration across mechanical, electrical, and firmware domains
Identify system-level trade-offs across components, cost, and performance
Derive electrical requirements for subsystems to meet functionality, reliability, safety, and human-robot interaction
Conduct trade space studies for design alternatives considering cost, manufacturability, and timelines
Lead electrical validation and testing including bring-up, functional testing, EMI/EMC, safety validation, and design verification
Generate technical artifacts (schematics, test plans, trade studies, validation reports, design documentation)

Zentrale Anforderungen

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
Experience in motherboard and PCB design including schematic capture, stackup, and layout
Experience with analog, digital, and high-speed circuit design
Experience using electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators)
Experience with motor controls (starters, VFDs, DC drives) and standard electrical components
Experience in hardware design
3+ years designing and debugging PCBs for embedded systems
Experience with embedded microcontrollers/processors (ARM Cortex, STM32, or similar)
Proficiency with sensor integration for robotics (IMUs, encoders, force/torque sensors, vision, LiDAR)
