Engineering Manager - Banking Platform (m/f/x)

As Engineering Manager you lead one of Scalable’s engineering teams to build a new vertically integrated investment and banking platform. You collaborate with product managers and academics to drive platform development using modern software practices. You empower engineers, mentor careers, and guide feature delivery with Product and Design. You help recruit and align the team to business goals, delivering impactful fintech solutions.

• Lead and grow an engineering team to be autonomous and agile
• Provide technical direction and share best practices
• Build and integrate new features with Product and Design teams
• Plan and prioritize work to meet business goals
• Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new engineers

• University degree in a relevant field or comparable qualification
• Backend development experience with Java or Kotlin
• Experience with cloud infrastructures / event-based asynchronous architectures
• Strong understanding of software development processes, distributed architectures and RESTful API design
• Passion for developing people and technical excellence
• Extreme ownership mindset
• Strong analytical thinking in technical and product domains
• Excellent communication skills tailored to engineers, product, and stakeholders
• Leadership experience is a plus
