Head of Direct Procurement (all genders)

You lead tonies' Direct Procurement, shaping global sourcing, supplier partnerships, and commercial negotiations to support product development. In a cross-functional, executive-facing role, you drive strategy, governance, and resilience of the supplier network. You partner with Engineering, Product, Production, Finance, Quality, and Global Supply Chain to enable growth and sustain competitiveness. This is a chance to influence how tonies sources hardware for a globally-scaled, screen-free play experience. You will operate at senior levels, including deputy to the Director Global Procurement, delivering measurable impact.

• Own and evolve the global Direct Procurement function, including operating model, governance, and policies across regions
• Translate corporate strategy into global procurement priorities, roadmaps and execution plans
• Develop and implement global sourcing, supplier, and resilience strategies balancing cost, innovation, quality and risk
• Lead strategic projects such as onboarding new device suppliers and new product development initiatives
• Drive organizational transformation to improve procurement effectiveness and resilience
• Lead the German Direct Procurement team, manage budget, and align KPIs with Asia Sourcing Hub
• Ensure governance and standards across HQ, Asia Sourcing Hub, and local markets; represent Procurement in executive forums
• Foster cross-functional alignment with Engineering, Product, Global Production, Finance, Quality and Global Supply Chain
• Act as deputy for the Director Global Procurement and coach procurement professionals in Direct Procurement

• 10+ years in strategic procurement, category management or global sourcing with deep knowledge of consumer electronics, consumer goods or manufacturing
• Proven ability to define global procurement strategy and lead international teams
• Experience in global sourcing and supply chain resilience, including end-to-end RFQ, onboarding and multi-regional projects
• Strategic thinker with hands-on execution and ability to report to executives
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred)
• Full professional fluency in English and German
• Willingness to travel globally (approx. 20–30%)
