IT Configuration Management Senior Specialist

Overview

As IT CMDB Owner, you will shape the CMDB strategy and drive its design, implementation, and continuous improvement. You will act as the CMDB SME for CI discovery, asset lifecycle management, and service mapping to empower IT operations. You will partner across teams to integrate CMDB with ITSM processes, automate relationships, and monitor performance. This role offers impact through data integrity, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous optimization in a global context. You will work in a hybrid Barcelona setting, contributing to a critical enabler for IT services.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Own and lead CMDB strategy ensuring data completeness, integrity, and accuracy
Enhance ITSM by integrating CMDB with Incident, Change, and other ITSM functions
Automate and optimize relationships between Configuration Items using discovery tools and manual processes
Collaborate with IT Security, Architecture, Finance, Business Solutions, and vendors
Drive adoption through communication, training, and best-practice initiatives
Monitor and improve CMDB performance via KPIs and continuous improvements
Integrate with third-party tools such as SCCM and monitoring solutions, and ServiceNow
Support Incident Management when needed

Zentrale Anforderungen

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
At least 4 years of professional CMDB experience in an enterprise environment
Strong experience in Configuration Management and ITSM, especially ServiceNow CMDB
Knowledge of IT asset tracking and software asset management
ITIL Certification with solid ITSM practices
Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, software, and hardware
Experience in IT operations and ITSM within an outsourced environment
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
