Change & Configuration Management Specialist, IRIS2 Programme Office

As Project Manager for Change & Configuration Management, you safeguard the integrity of programme baselines and changes across domains. You will lead configuration and change activities, ensuring traceability and governance alignment across development, engineering, manufacturing, and operations. You act as the coordination hub between CM, change control, and governance to enable coherent execution. This role shapes how IRIS2 provisions and maintains system configurations and manages change within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

• Define and implement the configuration management approach aligned with programme requirements
• Establish and maintain CI structure, naming conventions, and versioning rules
• Maintain baselines (functional, allocated, product) and ensure consistency with design, as‑built, and as‑operated states
• Implement and manage the change control process per programme governance
• Coordinate lifecycle of change requests (creation, logging, impact assessment, governance submission)
• Ensure changes are documented and assessed across cost, schedule, risk, and technical domains
• Ensure only approved changes are implemented and baselines updated accordingly
• Maintain records of baselines, change logs, and implementation status
• Provide visibility of current configuration state and change pipeline for reporting to governance and boards

• University degree in Telecom, IT or Satellite Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of proven project management experience
• Fluency in English; additional EU language a plus
• Experience with MS Tools including MS Project
• Experience with PLM/configuration tools and structured data/baseline management
• Proven experience with EU/ESA/government institutions and ECSS standards
• PMP certification is nonessential
• Eligibility for SECRET security clearance
• Willingness to work 60% onsite and travel as required
