Lead Principal System Architecture Solid State Transformer (f/m/div)

In this role you lead system architecture for Solid State Transformers and shape Infineon’s solution offerings. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to translate requirements into architectures and use cases, supporting design-in and roadmap activities. You’ll act as a go-to expert, driving partnerships and identifying market opportunities. The role combines technical leadership with cross-functional influence to advance decarbonization and digitalization initiatives.

• Own system architecture descriptions and application requirements for Solid State Transformers and develop new concepts based on value drivers
• Perform technical evaluations to support Sales and Marketing design-in activities and customer engagements
• Define system architecture, functional blocks, and use cases for product definitions aligned with business and technical needs
• Contribute to the application roadmap with value drivers, architectures, and block diagrams for future products
• Serve as internal subject matter expert, providing training and guidance to colleagues, customers, and partners
• Build strong relationships with customers and pre-development teams to identify requirements and market opportunities
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to manage communication, analyze problems using a global expert network, and stay updated on emerging technologies
• Support funding and external cooperative projects through ongoing collaboration

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of relevant Power Conversion experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams
• Ability to analyze and simulate solutions using PLECS, SIMetrix, or similar tools
• Experience designing and validating proof-of-concept hardware in a lab
• Proactive, self-motivated with strong stakeholder management
• Proven capability to communicate complex technical topics to technical and management audiences
