Mechanical Design & Integrity Engineer (f/m/d)

In this role you will specify, architect, analyze, and validate high-integrity, safety-critical components within the Mechanical Systems Capability team. You will work with cross-functional engineers and external suppliers to deliver robust production designs that meet program milestones. The role emphasizes digital engineering, AI-driven simulation, and data-driven decision making to optimize design, maintenance, and reliability. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share knowledge across the function. • Perform mechanical analysis and design activities per process standards
• Use advanced numerical models and digital tools; contribute to model development and boundary condition checks
• Apply AI-driven simulation and machine learning to design optimization and predictive maintenance
• Prepare experiment specifications for tests on rigs and engines
• Develop, document, and deliver production design solutions
• Solve complex engineering problems using data analytics and visualization
• Lead and collaborate with engineering teams and external suppliers, integrating cross-disciplinary insights
• Evaluate technical changes with data-driven decision-making tools
• Deliver technical packages and investigations to meet milestones while ensuring cost, quality, and delivery
• Act as a knowledge-sharing point within the discipline and advise customers as needed
• Align work with company objectives and promote continuous improvements across the team

• Master's in engineering or regional equivalent qualification, or equivalent experience
• Strong technical knowledge in mechanical integrity and design methodologies
• Experience in static and dynamic stress analysis, fracture, fatigue, and life assessment
• Proficiency with engineering tools and digital platforms
• Analytical and creative thinker with problem-solving mindset and a drive for innovation
• Knowledge of product integrity, liability and certification frameworks
• Project and change management, design verification, and manufacturing support
• Good communication and coordination skills; ability to present ideas and inspire peers
