Overview

As a Semiconductor System Engineer, you will own the end-to-end system architecture for sensor ICs used in automotive and industrial markets. You translate system requirements into silicon, collaborating with safety, lab validation, and product teams to balance performance, cost, and time to market. You act as the technical authority from concept to silicon, driving cross-domain trade-offs and safety concepts. This role combines physics, electronics, and embedded systems to shape high-impact sensor solutions and safety-compliant platforms.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Define end-to-end system architecture for sensor ICs (analog front-end, DSP, control logic, embedded MCU, interfaces)
  • Conduct architectural trade-off analyses (power, performance, cost, area, safety, development time)
  • Partition architecture among analog, mixed-signal, digital, embedded software, and algorithms
  • Derive chip-level requirements from system/customer use cases
  • Lead expert discussions with customers as needed
  • Contribute to functional safety and standard compliance; support safety concepts and diagnostic functions
  • Drive domain assignment for Pre-Si and Post-Si validation; interface with lab validation, end-of-line, and product engineering
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years in semiconductor/IC product development
  • Proven system architecture or chip-level design experience; strong analog/digital integration
  • Experience in mixed-signal IC systems, sensor signal chains, digital control logic, DSP, embedded MCU architectures, modeling and simulation
  • Automotive, functional safety and cybersecurity exposure per ISO26262, IAT16949, AEC-Qxxx; requirements engineering tools (Doors, Polarion, Jama)
  • Proficiency in system design and simulation tools (Python, SciKit Learn, Matlab) or cadence-based tools
