Senior CPU Compiler Performance Engineer

In this role you design and optimize compiler software for NVIDIA CPUs, enabling high-performance AI and HPC workloads. You will collaborate with a distributed team to drive hardware-software co-design and contribute to open source compiler ecosystems. You’ll work on performance-focused compiler features, bridging AI workloads with next-generation compute. This is a hands-on, impact-focused position at the center of NVIDIA’s AI and data-centre strategy.

• Collaborate with a geographically distributed partner to understand, modify and improve CPU compiler software at NVIDIA
• Analyze AI workloads to drive improvements in hardware and compiler toolchains and advance hardware-software co-design
• Contribute new features and optimization techniques for NVIDIA CPUs, engaging with upstream and open source communities
• Develop compiler software optimized for performance

• Contribute to the development of next-generation compute

• BS, MS or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience with 8+ years
• Experience with compiler development or related academic project
• Knowledge of language front-ends or compiler optimization techniques and code generation
• Strong hands-on C++ programming skills
• Good CPU architecture and low-level performance analysis skills with hands-on pre-silicon hardware/software co-design experience
