Overview

In this role, you join the BTP Fabric team in Walldorf to strengthen our Application Performance Management initiatives and bridge application and infrastructure concerns. You will design and operate scalable cloud solutions leveraging Kubernetes and related tech, focusing on observability, multi-tenant production readiness, and automation. You’ll collaborate across international teams to deliver reliable platform capabilities and self-healing mechanisms. This position offers impactful work on SAP’s core platform and technology stack with opportunities for growth and learning.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Develop features for our cloud platform (Kubernetes Operators, REST APIs, libraries)
Design scalable, production-ready solutions for customers
Operate cloud-native services with emphasis on observability and multi-tenancy
Automate tasks and self-healing mechanisms for the platform
Support development teams in daily operational work
Evaluate and introduce new technologies to drive innovation
Handle bug fixes and respond to user requests
On-call duty to ensure platform reliability

Zentrale Anforderungen

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
5+ years of development experience
Proficiency in Go, Java, Python or Bash/PowerShell; experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform
Linux/Unix operating knowledge (kernel, scripting)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google, OpenStack) and containers
Solid understanding of SOLID, DRY, and KISS principles
Code management with GitLab or GitHub
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate technical problems to business needs
Very good English skills
