Overview
In this role, you will reinforce the Application Performance Management team within SAP's BTP Fabric, driving engineering excellence across our cloud platform. You’ll bridge application and infrastructure concerns, building scalable cloud solutions and promoting observability. You’ll work with international teams, onboard new technologies, and contribute to production-ready, self-healing capabilities. This is a hands-on, impact-driven position at the heart of SAP’s platform strategy.

- Develop and operate highly scalable cloud solutions using Go, Kubernetes, and REST APIs
- Design features for customers and improve platform capabilities
- Support multi-tenant cloud experiences with production-grade observability and metrics
- Automate tasks and implement self-healing mechanisms
- Assist development teams in day-to-day operations and promote innovation
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies to create business value
- Troubleshoot and fix issues, handle on-call incidents when self-healing falls short
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Proficiency in Go, Java, Python or Bash/PowerShell
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker) and configuration management tools
- Strong Linux/Unix knowledge, scripting and kernel concepts
- Experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google, OpenStack)
- Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Solid understanding of SOLID, DRY, KISS principles
- Code management with GitLab/GitHub
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Knowledge of Clean Code and continuous quality improvement
- Excellent English communication skills

- Observability, monitoring and analytics tooling (Dynatrace, Grafana, ELK)
