Senior Pre-Sales Engineer

As a Pre-Sales Engineer at Verimatrix, you translate complex customer needs into effective content security and anti-piracy solutions, covering hardware, software, datasets, networks, and cloud workflows. You act as a trusted advisor, shaping technical proposals and guiding customers toward scalable security architectures. You’ll collaborate across product, engineering, and sales to accelerate recurring revenue and refine offerings. This role combines hands-on technical insight with strategic business impact in a fast-moving market.

• Translate customer requirements into strategic, cost-effective technical proposals leveraging Verimatrix and third-party solutions
• Serve as trusted advisor to customers and partners to uncover core requirements and drive revenue growth
• Stay adaptable to learn new technologies, partners, and changing customer priorities
• Provide input to product, marketing, and pricing decisions based on market needs and competitive landscape
• Coordinate with sales and other departments to respond to questions and deliver demos and trials
• Coach and develop sales team on product knowledge and technical sales skills
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Cloud, Security, and Global Operations to share direction and feedback
• Create quotes, architecture diagrams, and technical summaries for proposed solutions
• Communicate effectively in English to internal teams and customers
• Setup and configure demos/trials with customers and partners
• Work remotely, independently, and meet deadlines

• 10 to 12 years of progressive experience in Engineering or Sales Engineering
• Strong knowledge of major DRM ecosystems (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay) and multi-DRM architectures
• Experience with CDNs, SaaS platforms, and Cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Deep understanding of end-to-end video delivery workflows across OTT, IPTV, DVB
• Knowledge of CAS/DRM coexistence and video transport (DASH, HLS)
• Ability to articulate security vs. latency, scalability, and QoE trade-offs
• Familiarity with encoders, packagers, middleware, players, and CDNs integration
• Experience with STB architectures and secure content playback
• Hands-on software development skills in Android/iOS/embedded Linux (C/C++, Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift, Python, JavaScript)
• Knowledge of cryptography, TLS/SSL, AES/RSA, and security testing (NESSUS, red teams)
• Understanding of application protection and OWASP/MobSF analyses
• Experience with Git and integrating REST APIs and video player SDKs
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 50%
