Senior Project Engineer (m/f/d)

As Senior Project Engineer, you will lead the engineering execution of EPC turnkey projects across the EMEA region to ensure safe, on-time, and within-budget delivery. You will coordinate internal and external engineering teams, suppliers, and stakeholders, driving compliant, constructible designs and value enhancements. You will own technical aspects for medium- to high-voltage systems and guide design reviews and risk mitigation. You will contribute to continuous process improvements and travel as needed to support projects.

• Manage external engineering firms, subcontractors, and internal engineering disciplines to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet contractual requirements and regional/regulatory design constraints
• Lead design review meetings and ensure compliance with Fluence quality processes and ISO 9001
• Drive value engineering and innovative approaches to improve design, constructability, efficiency, and outcomes
• Support procurement with equipment specifications and technical evaluations of proposals
• Review designs for compliance with project requirements and standards
• Take full technical responsibility for assigned EPC turnkey projects including HV systems
• Manage technical escalations and resolve engineering and execution challenges
• Execute projects in alignment with Fluence safety requirements and KPIs
• Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and cross-functional collaboration
• Travel across the EMEA region to support execution and stakeholder engagement

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in design and execution of utility-scale power systems, PV plants, BESS, or similar energy projects within EMEA
• Strong EPC project experience with high-voltage systems and renewable or conventional power generation
• Excellent technical understanding of complex energy projects and engineering principles
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
• Solution-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to coordinate complex, multi-discipline projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluency in English; German or other European languages advantageous
• Completion of Fluence safety training programs; international travel health certifications as required
