Software Development Engineer II C++ (m/f/d)

In this role you will contribute to Reality Engine, Esri’s R&D efforts to reconstruct 3D surfaces from images and lidar. You’ll collaborate with a diverse, growth‑mfocused team to push advances in geospatial technology and social/environmental monitoring. You’ll design and optimize high‑performance C++ software for large datasets, scalable across workstations, clusters, and cloud. This is a chance to shape a product used by a growing community of reality capture users and to help drive industry leadership in 3D reconstruction.

• Collaborate with the team to build software for 3D reconstruction from images and lidar, scene understanding, and visualization
• Develop performant, maintainable code contributing to social and environmental monitoring via GIS
• Contribute to an efficient, modern C++ environment supporting parallel and distributed processing
• Design, develop, and maintain APIs, monitor performance, and ensure security
• Contribute to shaping a product for a growing user community

• 2+ years of industry experience with C++
• Desire to design, author, test, debug, and profile source code
• Motivation to shape a team and product to ensure customer success
• Fluent English speaker (German is a plus)
• Eagerness to grow in team communication and self-leadership
• Interest in the geospatial industry
• Bachelor in computer science, geomatics engineering, or a related field
• Existing work authorization for Germany
