Overview

As Technical Manager, you will define and maintain the technical vision for the Ground Segment of large satellite constellations. You’ll lead system architecture and coordinate cross‑disciplinary teams to ensure cohesive, high‑quality solutions. You act as the technical authority through the project lifecycle, manage risks and trade‑offs, and align technical outcomes with customer needs and standards. You’ll drive innovation while delivering robust, efficient Ground Segment programs from concept to deployment, collaborating with customers, partners, and engineering teams.

Lead system architecture and set technical direction for Ground Segment solutions
Coordinate technical activities across multidisciplinary engineering teams
Act as technical authority across the project lifecycle
Manage technical risks, trade-offs, and engineering decisions
Ensure solutions meet requirements, performance objectives, and industry standards
Collaborate with Project Manager, customers, partners, and engineers to align goals
Drive innovation while preserving technical excellence, quality, and efficiency
Support delivery of complex Ground Segment programs from concept to deployment

Zentrale Anforderungen

Strong background in Ground Segment or other complex software‑intensive systems
Solid systems engineering skills
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in challenging international programmes
Experience in negotiating technical solutions with internal and external stakeholders
Desirable knowledge: Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Desirable experience with core Ground Segment subsystems (MCS, FDS, MPS) or data processing pipelines
