Associate Legal Counsel, AWS Legal

In this role you support AWS sales across Europe, the Middle East and Africa from Munich, focusing on Germany. You will draft and negotiate strategic technology service agreements and provide legal guidance on product development, security, compliance and data protection. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to navigate regulatory and commercial challenges, leading high-impact deals and AI-driven improvements in legal operations. This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role at the intersection of law, technology, and business growth.

• Draft, negotiate and advise on strategic technology service agreements with enterprise customers and partners
• Provide legal support for local and regional services and initiatives
• Offer ongoing legal counsel on product development, operational, security, compliance, data protection and public policy matters
• Participate in legal team projects and manage issues arising in existing relationships
• Handle customer and business partner inquiries and coordinate multi-country deal structures
• Lead counsel on strategic sales transactions and partnership agreements
• Pioneer AI-driven transformation of legal operations to improve contract review and risk mitigation

• License to practice law in Europe, US or other common law jurisdiction
• Post-qualification legal experience (minimum 2+ years)
• Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
• Experience in web services/cloud computing, software licensing, telecommunications or equivalent
• Preferred: mix of corporate law firm and in-house experience
