Legal Counsel (w, m, d)

In this role you provide comprehensive legal support to the Defence Digital business, enabling national and international defense collaborations. You will advise on complex regulatory frameworks, procurement contracts, and strategic partnerships, shaping how the organization operates in a fast-evolving cyber and digital landscape. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to mitigate risk and support digital transformation initiatives. • Advise on complex regulatory frameworks and high-stakes defence procurement contracts
• Draft and negotiate a range of transaction documents (Teaming, Cooperation, Partnership, JV, Commercial Contracts)
• Represent the legal function in Bid Approval Committee meetings
• Provide timely legal guidance across commercial, IT, IP, public procurement, corporate, M&A, and EU law
• Support litigation strategies and coordinate with external law firms as needed
• Develop and maintain standard contract templates
• Support monitoring of subsidiaries and provide legal/compliance training to other departments
• Instruct and manage external legal advisors; promote lean, digital ways of working within the legal team
• Support digital business models (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) and AI, cloud, cyber aspects in line with ethics and compliance policies
• Contribute to evolution of Connected Intelligence and Defence Digital legal organization

• 8-10 years of professional legal experience in multinational company or law firm
• Deep knowledge across commercial, corporate, public procurement, IT, antitrust, data protection, and digital laws
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
• Fluency in English and negotiation-level German; French or Spanish a plus
• Autonomous, proactive, reliable, with collaborative problem-solving mindset
• Willingness to travel and openness to new digital tools and modern ways of working
• Excellent interpersonal skills and pragmatic approach to complex challenges
• Security clearance eligibility or existing clearance
