Director Program & Production Procurement CDMO / CMO

In this Director role, you lead Strategy & Demand, Planning & Sourcing, and Contract & Data Management to shape procurement for CDMO/CMO services in protein-based modalities. You will coordinate cross-category efforts and align with long-term business goals, while leading a team of program managers. You’ll drive supplier governance, risk mitigation, and data-driven decisions, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders. • Develop and implement category strategies with business stakeholders (CMC, ESO, Supply Chain, Legal, QA)
• Manage demand, identify cost optimization opportunities, and drive procurement process improvements
• Source, select, and contract suppliers aligned with company requirements
• Lead supplier negotiations and manage contract lifecycles
• Analyze procurement and supplier data to support decisions
• Improve supplier performance and mitigate geopolitical, financial, and compliance risks in collaboration with CMC/ESO
• Oversee supplier lifecycle from approval to offboarding with governance
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations in strategic procurement
• Translate program plans into actionable procurement strategies and lead cross-category program meetings
• Act as central point of contact for program management inquiries and report status to VP Global Procurement
• Escalate critical topics when needed

• Master’s degree in business administration or related field
• 5–10+ years of procurement and program management experience in a regulated environment
• Experience with CDMO/CMO relationships
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience with ability to guide and motivate teams
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier lifecycle management, and best practices
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Fluent in English; German a plus
