Drone Field Engineer

As Field Engineer at Helsing, you mature cutting-edge military AI products from concept to scale. You will run end-to-end tests of integrated software and hardware, including drones, in lab and field environments, and work closely with software/AI engineers and end users to ensure safety and reliability. You’ll design and improve test plans, manage resources, and support deployment on edge devices, contributing to ethical and robust defence technology. • Test integrated software and hardware end-to-end in lab and field environments, including drone operations, and provide feedback to engineering teams.
• Pack, transport, set up, run tests at various locations, and return equipment to storage.
• Install AI software on edge devices using in-house deployment tools.
• Design and improve test plans and safety SOPs.
• Define and secure resources for field testing, including hardware procurement, inventory tools, secure storage, and safety cases.
• Prepare and contribute to training materials and in-service support procedures.
• Travel to testing locations across the UK, France, Germany, and beyond.
