Expert Application Engineering and R&D technical films (m/w/d)

In this role you will drive the evolution of the innovation pipeline for the Technical Films portfolio and support the global sales organization. You will run trials, support production sites, and assist customers with technical questions to ensure product quality and performance. You will collaborate across Quality, Sales, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Marketing and R&D to accelerate launches and improve processes. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that values problem solving, technical excellence, and global travel. You will contribute to patent activities and deliver targeted training, shaping the division’s technology roadmap.

• Support innovation pipeline development for Technical Films aligned with global sales
• Contribute to product launches, validations, and customer qualification processes
• Plan/execute/document/evaluate trials on laboratory and production equipment
• Support production sites and global operations in process optimization and troubleshooting
• Provide technical support to customers in the film products segment
• Collaborate with Quality, Sales, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Marketing and Group R&D
• Support patent and innovation activities with Group R&D
• Deliver product-specific and technology-related training within the division

• Completed degree in engineering or comparable technical field
• Experience in film extrusion with exposure to other polymer processing technologies
• Solid understanding of production processes and industrial operations
• Strong analytical and technical skills with a solution-oriented mindset
• Structured, independent, and responsible work style
• Hands-on mentality with high standards for product performance, quality and customer focus
• Sound project management skills and confident professional presence
• Good written and spoken English
• Willingness to travel worldwide up to 30%
